• Time for our annual canned food drive!  c

Each November, WEB and NJHS collect canned and non-perishable food items from our Ranum family to help support the WestminsterFISH organization.  Through this effort, Ranum has been able to provide food to those in our community that are in need during the Thanksgiving and Holiday seasons.  Last year, we collected over 2,000 canned and non-perishable items!!  This year, our goal as a school is to collect 2,250 items!

     Here is how it works:

Canned and non-perishable food items will be collected through 1st hour classes.  After we get going and have some items for pick-up, WEB and NJHS students will come around to count and collect your donation items.  Please, no need to send our way, we will be around.  Danielle and I will keep the “official” count, but it is ALWAYS a great idea to keep your own count as well (last year we had a bit of a battle between some classes as the top collectors).  A donutd    and juiceJuice  party will be rewarded to the top 3, first hour classes with the most donations!!  We will begin our canned and non-perishable food drive tomorrow, 11/5, and make our final pick-up on Friday, 11/21.  This will allow us time to pack the items for delivery before Thanksgiving.

We would really appreciate your support and ask that you take a few moments during 1st hour to help promote our efforts.  Explain what we are doing, why, and what items can/may be donated.  You might also want to clarify, that we are asking for food items, not deodorant and other personal hygiene items.  Also, in order for Ramen Noodles to be given credit, 3 packages will equal 1 can/non-perishable item.  Reminders will be given during morning announcements, but your support is vital to our success!

    Thank you so much!

  • Yearbook Cover Contest

Are you a good artist?  If so, you should enter the yearbook cover contest.  The theme this year is "A Knight's Journey Begins with a Single Step."  All you have to do is draw a picture that goes with the theme.  You can add shading with pencil, but don't color it.  do it on white printer paper only.

The top three winners receive a free yearbook and their designs will be used on the front cover, back over, and the first page of the yearbook.  The deadline is Friday, November 21, so start drawing and turn your entries in to Mrs. Neal's mailbox in the office.  Be sure to include your name and the name of your Advisory teacher.

    Have a nice day Knights!
