  • Meet Karina Costas, Elks Teacher of the Year

When you visit Westminster High School Math Teacher Karina Costas’ classroom you find a lot of smiles, laughter and, more importantly, a lot of learning.

Karina is one of the three Westminster Elks Teachers of the Year.

Karina’s journey to Westminster High School is an interesting one. She came to the District via Puerto Rico where she spent most of her life, learning how to teach and becoming immersed in the culture. She believes her time in her native country has given her an insight into working with minority students at WHS.

  • 2015 North Metro Task Force Anti-Drug Campaign

    DLRIUFGES

The Student Council and Business Management Classes at Westminster High School joined the North Metro Task Force to create a public service announcement and campaign against teen use of Marijuana.  Over the past 4 years, the task force has partnered with the high schools in Adams County and challenged students to participate in a drug prevention campaign. The schools compete against each other and a winner is selected by a community panel.  Here the entry presented by Westminster High School and a poster that was created by a WHS student.  If you have any questions regarding the competition or the rally, please contact Frances Groff-Gonzales.
